HW03-E OBD DOIP Cable – Required Ethernet Cable for JLR Module Programming

The HW03-E OBD DOIP cable is a professional-grade OBD-to-Ethernet cable designed for use with the Lock50 HW04 tool suite. It provides the Ethernet (DOIP) communication path required to access and program advanced modules on newer Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles.

If your work involves module programming on modern JLR platforms, this cable is essential equipment.

Purpose-Built for DOIP (Ethernet) Communication
The HW03-E enables Diagnostic over Internet Protocol (DOIP) communication on Jaguar and Land Rover EVA2 architecture vehicles. Many 2021–2024+ platforms require Ethernet-level access for module communication, which cannot be achieved using standard CAN-only adapters.

This cable is required when accessing modules such as RFA, TCU, IPC, BCM, and other networked control units.

Standard CAN adapters alone will not communicate with these systems.

Vehicle Compatibility
Jaguar and Land Rover
Model years: 2021–2024+
Architecture: EVA2 with DOIP support

Why DOIP Matters
Modern Jaguar and Land Rover platforms rely on Ethernet communication for many control modules. DOIP allows higher data rates, direct read/write access, and stable programming sessions that are not possible through CAN OBD methods alone.

Ethernet access is required for module programming, reflashing, VIN updates, and full ECU communication beyond basic key adding.

Professional Use and Requirements
Designed for use with Lock50 HW04 key programming tools
Required for module programming on DOIP-enabled vehicles
Used in conjunction with a USB-connected HW04 device and programming laptop

For basic key adding on unlocked modules, legacy cables may be sufficient. For any module programming work, DOIP access is mandatory.

Installation and Setup
Connect the HW03-E cable to the vehicle’s OBD port and to your Lock50 HW04 interface. Ensure the HW04 is connected to your programming laptop, then launch Lock50 software. The tool will automatically use the Ethernet link to communicate directly with vehicle modules.

If you service modern Jaguar or Land Rover vehicles and perform module programming, this cable eliminates access limitations, failed communication attempts, and unnecessary job delays.
